DRAWING

Drawing is where it all started for me. A sketchbook, pencil, and whatever was in front of me was all I needed.

Blind Contour Drawings are a way to let go of total control, which often yields fun and interesting results. This is an exercise of hand-to-eye coordination. Draw without breaking eye contact with the subject while also trying not to break pencil-to-paper contact. If you want to look at your progress, stop drawing. When ready, place the pencil where you want to start again, and continue while only looking at the subject.
